YouTube gives your Liked videos no search box. The search bar at the top searches all of YouTube, and the Liked videos page only loads a batch at a time as you scroll, so finding one video you liked two years ago means scrolling for a long time. A browser extension can load the whole list and search it: TidyWL lets you search your likes by title, channel or the uploader’s hidden tags, and sort them so the oldest likes come first.
Why YouTube’s Liked videos are hard to search
Liked videos is a playlist that YouTube fills for you, newest like first. The page shows the first batch and loads more only as you scroll toward the bottom. Your browser’s find-in-page (Ctrl+F, or Cmd+F on a Mac) can only see the videos that have already loaded, so on a long list you have to scroll to the end before it can find anything.
How to search your likes with TidyWL
- Install TidyWL for Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Firefox. It is free and needs no account.
- Open YouTube, open the TidyWL dashboard and switch to Liked videos in the header. Press Sync to load the whole list.
- Click the magnifier in the toolbar and type. The list narrows as you type.
The search matches anywhere in a video’s title, its channel name, and its tags, including the tags the uploader set that YouTube never shows. That is useful when you remember what a video was about but not what it was called, and for videos in other languages, since uploaders often tag in English as well.

Find a liked video by what you remember
- You remember the channel: the sidebar lists every channel in your likes with a count. Click one to see only its videos.
- You remember the subject: the By Topic breakdown groups your likes by theme.
- You remember roughly when you liked it: sort by Playlist order. Top first is your newest likes; Bottom first puts your oldest likes at the top.
- You remember when it was published: sort by Published date, newest or oldest first.
- You remember it was long, or a Short: filter by length, using the preset buckets or your own minimum and maximum in minutes.
When a liked video seems to be missing
If a video you are sure you liked does not appear, check the Unavailable filter. It shows likes on videos that have since been deleted or made private, which YouTube hides from the normal list. Many users also report that YouTube’s Liked videos list stops showing older likes past about 5,000, and no tool can show likes that YouTube itself no longer lists.
Your liked videos are fetched with your own YouTube session and the list stays on your device.
