The short version
- The free version stays free. Pro is an optional subscription that adds the features listed on the pricing page.
- Pro is billed monthly or yearly and you can cancel any time. Access runs to the end of the period you paid for.
- Paddle takes the payment. Paddle is the merchant of record: it charges your card, works out any tax, sends the receipt and handles refunds.
- TidyWL talks to YouTube the way YouTube's own web app does, not through an official API. YouTube can change that at any time. We fix what we can. If we cannot, you can cancel and, on a yearly plan, get the unused part back.
- Fourteen days, no questions, no conditions. Every charge has a 14-day full-refund window, with no exceptions. Details on the refund policy.
- TidyWL is not affiliated with YouTube or Google.
Who you are buying from
TidyWL is made and sold by Tsz Hin Lam, who goes by Dominic Lam everywhere else on this site, a sole proprietor in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Questions about these terms, your subscription or your licence go to [email protected].
Orders are processed by our online reseller, Paddle.com. Paddle is the merchant of record for every TidyWL Pro purchase: it is the party that charges you, issues the receipt, calculates and remits sales tax or VAT for your country, and processes refunds. Paddle's checkout terms apply to the payment itself. Everything else about the product is between you and us.
What TidyWL is, and what it is not
TidyWL is a browser extension that opens a dashboard on YouTube for managing your own Watch Later, Liked videos and playlists: search, filter, sort, bulk delete, reorder, move, export. It runs in your browser, with the YouTube session you are already signed in to, and it calls the same web endpoints YouTube's own page calls. It does not use YouTube's official Data API, because that API does not allow access to Watch Later.
That design is what makes TidyWL work, and it is also the honest caveat: YouTube did not build those endpoints for us and can change or close them without notice. TidyWL ships a remote configuration layer so that many YouTube-side changes can be fixed without a new extension version, and we update the extension when they cannot. We do not promise that any feature will keep working, and these terms say what happens when one does not (see If YouTube changes below).
TidyWL is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC.
Free and Pro
The extension you install from the Chrome Web Store or from this site is free, needs no account and no payment. Pro is an optional paid tier that adds the features listed on the pricing page at the time you subscribe. We may add features to Pro over time; what you are buying is what the pricing page lists on the day you buy, and anything we add later is a bonus, not a promise.
Subscriptions, renewals and cancellation
- Plans. Pro is sold as a monthly or a yearly subscription. Prices are shown in US dollars on the Pro page; Paddle's checkout shows the amount in your currency and adds any tax that applies where you live.
- Billing in advance. You are charged at the start of each period. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
- Cancelling. Cancel any time from the link in your Paddle receipt, or by emailing [email protected]. Cancelling stops future charges. Pro keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for, and then the extension goes back to the free version. Nothing in your browser is deleted.
- Price changes. If a price goes up, we tell existing subscribers at least 30 days before it applies to them, and it only applies from the next renewal. You can cancel before then.
Your licence key and your devices
- When you buy Pro you receive a licence key. Entering it in the extension turns Pro on for that browser.
- The key is for you, on the browsers and devices you use yourself. We may limit how many devices can be active on one key at a time; the current limit is shown when you activate, and you can deactivate a device you no longer use.
- Do not share, publish, sell or transfer your key. We may deactivate a key that has been shared, resold, obtained by fraud, or refunded.
- Activating a key stores the key and a record of the activation on tidywl.com so we can check the subscription is live. That is described in the privacy policy.
If YouTube changes
YouTube-side changes are the one risk we cannot remove, so here is exactly what we owe you when one happens.
- We work on a fix as soon as we know. Most changes are corrected through the remote configuration within hours; some need a new extension version, which goes through store review.
- If a Pro feature stops working because of a YouTube change and we have not restored it within 30 days, you can ask for a refund of the unused part of a yearly subscription, counted from the day it stopped working. On a monthly plan, cancel and the next charge does not happen.
- If YouTube changes something that cannot be fixed at all, we will say so plainly on this site and in the extension, stop selling Pro, and refund yearly subscribers for the remaining term.
What you agree to
- You use TidyWL on your own YouTube account, on your own playlists. Do not use it to access anyone else's account.
- You are responsible for what you delete. TidyWL asks before every bulk action, and Pro adds preview and undo, but a deletion you confirm is your decision.
- You do not resell, rent or bundle TidyWL, and you do not work around the licence check.
- You are at least the age at which you can enter a contract where you live, or a parent or guardian is buying for you.
Refunds
Every charge, first payment or renewal, has a 14-day window in which you can ask for a full refund. No questions, no conditions and no exceptions — how much you used TidyWL in that time makes no difference. After that, cancelling stops the next charge and Pro runs to the end of the period you paid for. The full rules, including how to ask and how long Paddle takes to return the money, are on the refund policy page.
Privacy
What the extension keeps in your browser, what it sends to tidywl.com and what it never sends are set out in the privacy policy. Paddle's handling of your payment details is covered by Paddle's privacy policy; we never see your card number.
Limits
TidyWL is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be free of errors or that it will always work with YouTube, for the reasons above. To the extent the law where you live allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from TidyWL is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost time, lost data on YouTube, or lost profits. Nothing in these terms removes rights that consumer protection law gives you and that cannot be waived.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the consumer law where you live. Disputes go to the courts of British Columbia unless that law says otherwise.
Changes to these terms
- 2026-09-02 — first version, published ahead of the Pro launch.
Material changes will be listed here with a date and announced in the dashboard's What's New. Changes to prices or to the refund rules never apply to a period you have already paid for.
