YouTube has no “unlike all” button. On youtube.com you can only remove a like one video at a time, which is hopeless when years of likes have piled up. A browser extension can do it in bulk: TidyWL opens your Liked videos as a list you can filter, then removes the likes on everything you select in one run. You can clear the whole list, or remove likes only from certain channels, topics or lengths and keep the rest.
The slow way YouTube gives you
Open Liked videos in YouTube’s left menu. For each video, open the three-dot menu and choose to remove it from Liked videos, or open the video and click the thumbs-up again to take the like back. Each removal is one click at a time, and the list only loads a batch of videos as you scroll.
Some answers online point to Google’s My Activity page for bulk deletions. That page manages your activity history, and we found no evidence that clearing it empties the Liked videos list itself.
How to remove likes in bulk with TidyWL
- Install TidyWL for Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Firefox. It is free and needs no account.
- Open YouTube, open the TidyWL dashboard and switch to Liked videos in the header. Press Sync to load the whole list.
- Select the videos. Use select-all to take everything, or narrow the list first (next section).
- Click the crossed-out heart, Remove likes, and confirm.
TidyWL removes the likes one after another, with a progress counter and a Stop button, and ends with a summary of how many were removed and whether any failed. Removing a like does not delete the video, and it does not affect anyone else.

Remove likes selectively
Most people do not want every like gone, only the ones that no longer fit. Narrow the list first, then select what is left:
- By channel: the sidebar lists every channel in your likes with a count. Click one to see only its videos.
- By topic: the By Topic breakdown groups likes by subject, so you can clear a whole theme you lost interest in.
- By search: type a word to match titles, channel names and the uploader’s hidden tags.
- By length: keep only Shorts, or only long videos, or set your own minimum and maximum in minutes.
- By watched status: find liked videos you never watched, or ones you finished.
- Unavailable videos: the Unavailable filter shows likes on videos that were deleted or made private, which is dead weight in the list.
Sorting helps too. Playlist order (Bottom first) puts your oldest likes at the top, and Published date or Views sort the list by the videos themselves.
Before you clear your likes
Removed likes cannot be restored except by liking each video again. If you might want the list later, export it first as CSV or JSON from Export & open in the toolbar, or copy the videos into a playlist of their own. Choosing Move instead of Copy does both in one step: it adds the videos to the playlist and removes the likes.
Your liked videos are fetched with your own YouTube session and the list stays on your device. It only leaves if you choose to send videos to Gemini Notebook.
